Internet is moving at a fast pace. In countries like Finland, people are enjoying legal rights to 1Mbps connections. But in India, we still have to pay for a dial up connection, leave aside broadbands. Loosely speaking, for us Indians, the wonders of internet are still a long wait.
In this slow world in our country, guess who comes to our rescue. None other that Google has started a Feather experiment on their TestTube for Youtube. TestTube is something similar to Google Labs and allows users to participate in experimental features being introduced by Google in its products.
Feathers experiment makes Youtube interface much lighter, by focussing on the most important feature of Youtube, the Videos. With Feathers enabled, the videos will be run in the default quality with the page showing limited number of comments and related feature.
Try it out until we get our share of bandwidth.
