A loophole in Farmville was exploited by a number of farmers today, when a certain link started to work in their favor.

Farmers could collect any number of collectible items, and later were able to trade them for experience and fuel. A lot moved in their experience levels too. But what does this mean for Zynga, the company that created the application?? In financial terms, it was one of the worst day for the game as lots of revenue was lost when farmers got small ponds and animal topiaries from golden eggs that were being generated from the glitch. Normally, a small pond costs 5000 Farmville coins while a topiary costs anything between 5 to 15 Farmville cash. More than anything else, farmers got a lot of golden chickens from the eggs that hatched during this time. A single chicken costs 25 Farmville cash when bought from the market. Farmville charges $5 for 25 farmville cash, and $5 for 7500 coins. Now this is the least package deal i have considered. Next if we look into how many eggs were hatched, and how many ponds bought, the number is going to be a huge one. For instant, i got 3 ponds, 22 golden hens, and 7-8 topiaries, and if we calculate the money i would have had to shell out, it comes out to be over $115 in half an hour!!! Guess the revenue it lost in 2-3 hours that the glitch survived. And this is just the opening covers. If we consider the fuel generated by trading the collectibles, the dollars jump up. It means, i could buy a cool Google Phone. Well, I guess the developers at Zynga are going to loose their one day’s salary due to the glitch.
